ARRIVAL TO BE DELATED. The arrival of the battle-cruiser ■ New Zealand in Dominion waters is to be delayed. Tho ship wns intended -originally'to reach this country or. August 19, but that arrangement will not bo kept. The new date of the battle-cruiser s arrival has not yet been fixed. The Minister.of Internal Affairs (Hon. G. W. Russell) stated yesterday that all arrangements made- in anticipation of thearrival of "the New Zealand on August 19 would have to be held over. When the Government had definite information as to the ship's movements it would inform the rmblic. The Minister added that the ship's itinerary had not yet been finally decided. A suggestion has been made that tho illuminations erected by tho Government for the peace celebrations should be. retained for use in honour of tho arrival of the New Zealand. Tho Minister of Internal Affairs stated yesterday that the Government had decided nsainst this proposal. Th_e visit of tho New Zealand was of a strictly business character.
