Spinsters' Club Dance. Although the war is over tho Spinsters' Club ■ is. still continuing tho patriotic work and last evening a'daiico organise by members of Llio club was i;eldin tlm Goring Street Jlall in ;u<l of iunds for tho Crippled Soldiers' and Sailors' Hostel on 'I'ho Toracrc. The liall had been prettily decorated for ilio occasion with pale bluo iuid yellow Orapuvy, arranged in double fo.stooiis round the walls •of tho main room, .and with iiuaimliw of small Hags siifspqnded f.iom the ceiling-. Lycopodiuin had also bcou used iricil good effect, and (lie stage ha<l been comfortably arranged for the r'ldpjrones. Tlio supper-room had also been effectively decorated' with (lags, and tho tables arranged with white anil yellow narcissi and silver birch, A delicious supper, all humc-inade, had btoii provided.' The cbfiperoneg. included liesdames Batten, Coull, Leiccftoi'i Mu«, Myers. Newton, and l-egg, and all were presented with posies gt' violets, waliiiowers, and bii'oli foliage' at & .token of tha club's appreciation of the assistance which they had givon so xcinhly jn regard to tho patriotic work done by members.
