FURTHER DETAILS OF THE AWARD •London, August 1. The British War Medal will bo granted to British and overseas mercantile mariners, including pilots, fishoruien, and crews of pilot boats. The qualifying jieriod is six months' service. The Mercantile Marine War Medal will bo planted to all the foregoinjj who served at least ono voyage in the danger zone.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn. PARLIAMENT'S THANES TO THE FORCES. London, August 1. Tho Government will move a vote of thanks to the forces and auxiliary services in tho Houso of Commons and the House of Lords, on Wednesday.
