P. AND T. ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL CONFERENCE. The greater part of the business of the P. and T. Conference on Saturday was devoted.to the consideration of tho correspondence and evidence which had taken place between the association and the Department and the men concerned, in which two prominent officials of the association are alleged to have, been tho subjects of intimidation or victimisation by their controlling officer as the result of their prominence in association activities. As tho Department had refused the request of the organisation to hold a Magisterial inquiry into tho whole of the circumstances mid to place the witnesses on oath, it was decided that it was imperative- in tho interests of tho association as an or.gani?ation to carry tho case further. The incoming executive committee was thcrefoK ' instructed to prepare a petition praying for a full inquiry and to have the same presented to Parliament.
