PRICE OP EGGS
Messrs. Bray Bros. (Wellington, egg and produce market) announce that the wholesale price of eggs during tho past week remained firm at 2s. 9d. per dozen.
The Gisborno Sheepfarmors' Frozen Meat and Mercantile Company, Ltd., who have recently acquired the business of Messrs. Bennett and Shenutl, merchants, if Gisborne. have secured tho services of Ir. J. Trevor Thomas as manager and .uctioneer of their mercantile business. itr. Thomas, prior to going to tho front, ras manager of Messrs. Abraham and (Villiams, Ltd.,, in Hawko's Bny, and later manager and auctioneer for that firm in the Wairarapa. At the front Lieutenant Thomas was with the Hawko's Bav Company 4th Brigade, and at its absorption went to the Otagos, and thon / to the W.W.C. Company 2, W. 1.8., with whom ho won tho Military Cross. JEvent- , ..ually he was wounded and taken prisoner / when on a night patrol, and spent eight / months in captivity in Germany. ,
