LONDON WOOL SALES
(Eec. August 3, 5.5 p.m.) London,-July 31. The wool sales have closed. There were 100,311 bales catalogued, find practically all were sold. Merinos were irregular throughout. Best combings were keenly competed for, but closed slightly easier than last sales' average, and faulty sorts declined 5 per cent. Crossbreds declined 5 per cent., and low sto 74 per cent. Scoureds and alipea generally declined a pbnny. All descriptions of lambs were well maintained. Tho prices realised by the following New Zealand brands were;—Mount,View, top price, 28d., average 2G}d.; Kapitoni, top price God., average 45. The United States, Japan, and neutrals will be permitted to purchase to a limited ncxtent at the next auctions on August 11. Tho Bradford market is quiet, and business is demoralised, owing to icllo- v ness of tho machinery—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. '
