A CHILD'S DEATH
_« ■ , DUE TO BRONCHIAL PNEUMONIA. An inquest was held by. the Coroner, Mr. W. (r. Biddoll, S.M., in tho Magistrate's Court yesterday on Douglaa Wilbour Shires, aged 2 years, who died at the home of his parents at No. 73 Epuni Street 011 Sunday morning. The child tvas sleeping with his grandmother,-who 011 awakening at 5.30 a.m. on Sunday found tho child dead. jSenior-Sergoant Kelly, of the Monnt Cook Police Station, conducted the inquiry. Dr. W. Kington Pyffe - stated that ho held .1 post-mortem examination ' and found that the. causo of death was duo to bronchial pneumonia, and the child could not absorb its food. The child was well developed and otherwise healthy.
Evidence was given by the child's grandmother that the child had had a cold, but had not 6u(fered > from bronchitis nor had lie complained of any pain:
The Coroner returned a verdict in accordance' with the medical testimony.
