THE REBEL RAISULI
o HIS WAR WITH SPAIN. London, J.uly 20 (delayed). According to telegrams from .Tangier, incoming troops say the losses in . tlio fight between Raisuli's rebels and the Spanish forces were under-estimated. Raisula's tribesmen took ro prisoners, but killed many hundreds, of whom a large proportion were brutally massacred. The corpses 'were left unburied amid the rocks and brushwood, and attracted pocks of wild dogs. Caro for the wounded was pitiably, inadequate, and many men lay at outposts for a week without attention. ' A severe and decisive fight is impending, and both sides have been reinforced. If . tlio Spanish troops aro properly equipped and skilfully handled, victory will be assured, because the tribesmen aro not provided with artillery.—"The Times."
