RESULT-EMERGENCE OF A BANKRUPT STATE GERMANY'S PART (By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyrislit Paris, July 22 (delayed). A perusal of tho financial clauses of tho Austrian Treaty shows ilidt the liquidation of tho assets of the old Aus-(ro-Hungariau Empire will Compel the Austrian Republic to start life as !a bankrupt State, faced with an enormous debt, a tremendous inflation of currency, and overwhelming obligations towards the Allies. Whether Germany will bo allowed to undertake the financial and economic reconstruction, of Austria, or the Allies will assume this responsibility, is tho pertinent question asked in conference circles.—Aus.-N.Z.
