Tho American Arcoteur Athletic Union has ruled that Fanny Durack nnd Minn Wylio caunot appear in the United States iiudor amateur anspicos because, tlio swimmers insist that tho expenses should 1» defrayed by (he clubs ; where they appear. Many sportsmen have entered a protest against tho Athletic Union's action', declaring that if is a blot on the United States' record for fair play— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
