The New York "Times" correspondent at St. John's (Newfoundland) reports that Baynham, with his navigator Bibleeomb, attempted to start . the trans-Atlantic flight. Tho 'plans rose three hundred feet in the air, when it was caught by a cross wind, and turned and fell to the ground, total wreck resulting. Eaynham and Biblecomb wero both uninjured Raynham stated that he lias now definitely abandoned the flight—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ' , [Raynham had a previous misliap at Newfoundland, and his machine had to lie up for repairs.]
