They included 117 Old £nglish. game exhibits.and 86 bantams, Rhode Island Reds, and Orpingtons, ■tnero were large classes in the utility section. In. fancy pigeons very' good Jesuits were obtained by outside exhibitor In canaries, G. Able (Wellington) cot tour hrsts, one second, and one special. .In. finches, C. Lambess (Wellington) won one first and one second, and ono third. In pigeons W. MAenzie Wellington) got two firsts, two seconds, and two thirds. Mackenzie and Ashworth (Wellington) got two tirsts two seconds, and one special; T. vowles,(Blenheim) got three firsts, , one Mwmd. .one third, and one special. In nwKPies W. Bailey (Wellington) won six Jirshs and.: two specials. In English Brown-Leghorns P. Culliford (Blenheim) secured two firsts. In Old English game 11. Bright (Blenheim) secured one first and a special. In Rhode Island Red, fancy. H, M'Whirter (Petone) won two firsts, and R. Scott (Wellington) two S and one second. In Reds, utility, M Wlurter not one first, ono third, and two soecials. and in Minorca three firsts nnd one second. In utility White Leghorjis Mrs. W. Traue (Blenheim) secured one first and special and two seconds lit Dorkings J. Patchett (Blenheim) won three firsts.
Chamoionships were ' awarded as folAmwican White Leghorns: J: Plum (Nelson); Plymouth Rocks: L. Tutbury (Riwaka); Utility Leghorn? R B. Martin (Nelson); Old J.nt'lish Game Bantams, Hnrkness Bros. (Ne'son); Tumblers. A. Wastney (WakaTiiinlra); Yorkshire Yellow, G. Able. A special prize for the beat Rhode IsJand Red in the show was won by Alfred .Robinson (Nelson).
