For the twelve months ended June last —"the wool year"—the following quantities of wool havo passed through Government brokers' hamls in the Wellington jaluntion district, which includes: Wellington, Wangaimi, Wnitnra, Blenheim, itfioton, and. The wool offered for valuation in the Wellington district totalled 209,004 biiiles, of which 178,085 bales were greiiey and 30,919 bales were freezing companies' slipe wools. The quantities of greasy wool disposed of were 139,536 bales to the British Government, 9139 bales to tho United States Government, 893 bales to New Zealand •mills, and 28,517 bales were delivered to scourers in tho Dominion, making up tho above total of 178.055 bales of greasy Wool.
..Appeals ogainst the valuation were fleam on 57 Jots, representing 510 bales. In the case seven lots only tho appeals were upheld. ' The value of tho greasy wool may be taken as approximately ,£23 per bale. At "this figure the clip would represent .£4,095,951. . '
