One of the naval mine-sweepers is at present coaling in Wellington, and another is replenishing her bunkers at Westport, prior to moving to a fresh field of endeavour. The sweepers have very thoroughly swept .the area known as tha Cape Farowell minc-fie'.d. without having discovered anytKing, which strengthens tho opinion held by Captain P. N. HallThompson, R.N.. that he believed tho mines had all been pretty well accounted for. Captain Hall-Thompson has reported progress to the Navy,, and as soon ns the order is received, tho sweepers will repair to the vicinity of the North Cape, and sweep the area there known to have been 60wn -with mines by the Wolf.
