The Napier telegraph operators at a meeting last night unanimously' passed the following motions: "That this meeting of telegraph operators of Napier unanimously -endorse the resolution of the -Wellington operators th<it reclassification of the service has not meted out salaries commonsurate with the work performed by. them as specialists, and that the list is inadequate, seeing that the average increase granted to officers is not more than ten per cent. v whilst tho cost of .living had advanced'3s per cent. That it is the unanimous opinion of the meeting that a New Zealand Telegraph Operators' Union be formed throughout the Dominion with tho object of protecting the interests of its members.
