RED RULE IN RUSSIA
SEVERE TREATMENT OF PEASANTS AND WORKMEN GERMAN INFLUENCE ON -THE SOVIETS (By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright London, July 15. A dispatch from Ekaterinburg states that the Bolshevists everywhere are treating the peasants ami workmen -with thu severest discipline, anil arc enforcing wholesale enlistments. As soldiers they are subjected to iron rule and cruelty at tho hands or the lied Communist hoopers. These are really u Janissary force, generally uf Russians,- who sliow an utter incapacity to assimilate any socialistic revolutionary doctrines. The mass of the peasants have reverted to religion and anti-Semitism, and the "Reds" are now showing an unmisfcakable tendency to indulge in pogroms. -ill the information available suggests that the revolutionary Jewish influence is waning, and that German influence is capturing the Soviets. Russia is fast falling under tho German yoke.—"The Times."
