The Wellington Football Association has, been granted the uso of tho Basin Reserve for Monday- afternoon (Peace Celebration Day), when Brooklyn United and Thistle will try conclusions in tha aiience of the game. It is fully expected thai there will he a . largo , crowd of spectators to witness tho • game, as both teams are playing up to senior standard form. Thistle is now leading for the championship / with 1G points. I'roolclvn defeated Institute two weeks auo. Bellamy, the "crack" goalkeeper, is aeain between tho sticks after an absence of some years, and is showing hia old form. He will keep goal for Brooklyn. The match Is timed to start at 2.45 n.m. sliatp. A charge of Gel. for admittance will he made, and the referee will be Mr. F. O'Connell. Tim Thistle team will heEgerton, M'Kenzie. M'Arthur; Bradbury, l?eid, M'l'iorani. Hanson. Smith, Gibson, Hart, and Edwards.

The committee of the Returned' Soldiers' Clubhouse Society at its last meetins! passed the following motion: "That this society desires to express its deep regret at the death of the late Mr. Hamilton Gilmer, and its sincere sympathy with Mrs. Gilmer and her family; and lo place on record its appreciation of tlio generous support given by the late Mr. Gilmer in aid of the returned soldiers during the past three years."
