FALL PROVES FATAL

William Stronger, a single man, who arrived from ■ Palmerston North on July 11, while walking on the Marine Parade shortly after midnight, accompanied by a woman, fell over a channel and injured his face. His injuries were given attention in a house on the Parade and Stronger and tho woman continued along the Parade, but he- shortly afterwards collapsed, and on arrival of a doctor was dead. An inquest is being held.
