General Monasli, Commarider_ of the Australian Forces, in an interview, said the Australians at present in Britain were engaged. in clearing up work at various camps; and as various stages of the work were completed as many were shipped homeward as sufficient shipping was available for. About a thousand men were still in France, engaged in work upon graves. On both sentimental and economic grounds it was better that this work should be done by the comrades of the fallen than by outsiders. The rapidity of demobilisation had far exceeded expectations; and every detail of the force would be shipped before the end of August—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
