FROM THE WAR ZONE
KIGOMA'S TROOPS DISEMBARK. , The troopship Kigoma, from Loudon, with Returning Drat't No. .202, comprising 758 troops, 151 women, and 31 children, berthed shortly befo-'e ten o'clock yesterday morning' at the Glasgow Wharf. The troops were welcomed l>y the Mayor (.Mr. J*. Luke), ami Jlrs. Luke, Miss Robin, and assistants distributed cigarettes and fruit. Disembarkation arrangements were -soon undei' way, and proceeded with remarkable smoothness, the ship being clear at a euarter-psst ton. Amongst those present to witness the disembarkation w'as General Hichardsou. The Voluntary Motor Corps, under Captain Pryor, was present', and rendered good service in transporting the soldiers ami their next-of-kin to their howes. During the disembarkation selections were rendered by the Patriotic Society's Band, which also played on the balcony of the Returned Soldiers' Club after the disembarkation. All the North Island troops got away by their respective trains yesterday, the Nelson and Christchurch and southern men leaving by the Nikau and Mararoa respectively. Men for Pictoti and Blenheim aro to leave by the MapouriU today.
