It is estimated that there are six million visitors in the' city for the victory fetes, which were begun to-day, and were witnessed by eight million people, Marshals Joffre, Foch and retain inaugurated the wpek's festivities, and attended military sports in the Tuileries Gardens. Thence the marshals proceeded to the Hotel -de Ville, where they received ' swords of honour presented by the city of Paris. M. I'oincare, President of France, presented to Marshal Foch a golden laurel wreath. Crowds thronged the boulvevards, which wore brilliantly illuminated in the evening. Hundreds of public dances were arranged in the streets and squares. Thousands of people are staying up all to-night to secure front places to view i Monday's narade of Allied troops. LONDON'S PEACE FESTIVITIES GREAT PROCESSION OP ALLIED TROOPS (Rec. July 11, 9.5 p.m.) v London, July 13. London s peace festivities on July 19 will open with a great procession of five thousand sailors and soldiers, and a service attended by women war workers and contingents of Australians 'and Now Zealanders, and troops from the other Dominions, ■ 3500 Americans, 800 each ci French and Italians,and smaller bodies of Belgian and other 1 Allied troops. Two thousand seats have been provided for incapacitated fighters. Old English dances, scenes from Shakespeare, concerts, galas, and children's entertainments will occupy the narks in the afternoon. A choir of ten thousand,, accompanied" by the massed Guards' . bands, will give a concert in the evening in Hyde Park, where there will be o fireworks display at' 10 o'clock.
