Sir—The troubles of the turnover are more imaginary than real, and the'suggestions and insinuations thrown out, though some of them may ultimately prove true, are in the meantime previous. The mass of complaints boil down 95 per cent., showing that thero is an unnecessary panic on the part of the public, and a woeful misconception, Then there are plenty of people "trying it on," with a view of taking advantage or ' the general confusion to get unfair preference, and more, again, mating mountains out of molehills. . Finally, for the present, there are those who Have been evading the position by what is vulgarly known as double-banking. The highest in tho land have been the biggest oftemters in this irregularity, and their howl has been the loudest, and is still responsible, for a great deal of unnecessary confuri.rn.-I am, July 12.
