The Minister of Railways anuounced .yesterday that the Government had decided that no special trains would be run on tho peace celebration, days, cither on the Saturday or tho Monday. He Raid, however, that no goods would be carried ton Saturday, and that tho ♦fains /would bo strengthened, bo that it would bo possible to carry more passengers. But there would be no extra trains." The sole reason {or this decision on the part of the Government wa6 tho shortage of coal. It was considered that to run trains would involve tho consumption of 200 tons moro coal, and it was'not"thought that this would bo.warranted, in view of tho great need for the coal for industrial and domestic use.
