In fat 6heep and lambs,and vealers tho shortage was duo partly 'to the curtailment of the railway seiv vice,'and partly to the scarcity of fat sheep and lamb's. The increaso in prices was not only duo to the shortness of supplies, but to its boing thtf last week for purchasing for freezing works winch are now about to closo down. Fat lambs sold at the rate of about lOd. per lb. over all, and fat 6heep_ advanced about ss' per lie'acl on the previous week's rates. Fjit cattle were firmer,.and vealers sold .. exceptionally well. Store cattle were .a small and poor lot. Thero was a mod- , erate demand for pigs. Store 6heep sold at about lato rate 3. : Store Sheep—Two-tooth ewes, 355. 9d.; four,' six," and eight-tooth ewes, 225. 3d. to 245.; sound and failing mouth ewes, lis. Id. to'lßg. 7d.; ewe hoggets, 235.; wether hoggets, 205.; two-tooth wethers, 255. lid.; .four and six-.tooth wethers, 245. i mixed sex hoggets-, 10s. to 15s. 7d.
