Finally ropes were thrown out from the dirigible, and were seized lustily by a hundred men who waited, and tlio vessel was made fast near tho earth. The crow stepped out from the under.-carriago, and were officially welcomed by Army and Navv officers, who represented the United States Government. The crew looked remarkably .fit, clear-skinned, healthy men.
