Two extraordinary general meetings tf shareholders in the New Zealand Insurante Co., Ltd., were held to-day. the first being for the purpose of confirming a special resolution passed on Juno 17, in which the Articles of Association were altered to enable the company to diviue its capital, or any part of it, or on the other hand, to consolidate its capital, or any part of it, .into shares of a larjei amount than its existing shares. The- confirmatory resolution was adopted unanimously. The business of the subsequent meeting was to consider n resolution, of which the principal claups was as follows: "Thai each of the existing £10 shares ho divided into ten shares of £1 each, upon each r>? which the sum of eight shillings shall be credited as paid up."
