Sir',—l was one of the many who enjoyed last night's performance of 11 Trovatore." But my pleasure was largely marred by a tactless neighbour two seats away knitting a scarf. Herneeoles clicked from start to finish. If people of this stamp cannot rtcogntse that a little courtesy is due to the performers, nnd a small amount of consideration due to their neighbours, why don't they stay at home? The habit may have been pardonable in war time—not now. it ib ■tima -this too common nuisance was stopped.—l am, etc., P.
