Barnes, M.P., will be Ambassador to Berlin, in recognition'of the fact that he was the chief actor in eecuring the international Labour Charter in tho Pence Treaty.—Ans.-N.Z. Cablo Assn. [Mr. Barnes has been M.P. (Labour) for Blackfriars, Glasgow, 6inee 1906. Ho was appointed Minister if Pensions in 1910, and a member of the War Cabinet in the following year.!
