KELBURN BOWLING CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING. ■ The annual meeting of the Kelburn Bowling Club, Ltd., was hold last oveninsr in the club's -pavilion, the president (Mr. T. Gray) occupied the chair, and there was an excellent attendance of members.
In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet the chairman referred to the conclusion of peace, and the fcelinir was one of thankfulness that the war was at an end, and their thoughts naturally went out to the boys front all liarts of the Empire who had given their lives to bring about victory. ThoGe thoueands of men who gave their lives had brought to tho world a peace which they all hoped would provo lasting. Now tha't the war was over it waa their duty to devote themselves to the work of re-, construction. As regards sport generally throughout the war,,there was no enthusiasm, but now they might look forward to get some enjoyment out of their sport. They would nil drift back into their usual ways, and sport would come into its own. Kβ referred to the improvement made in the green by the present groundsman, to the excellent play shown bv thoso who entered for the various competitions and tournaments, and also to the goodfellovship that prevailed on the green.
The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. J. A. Doherty; vice-president, -Mr. . J. S. Macarthur; green superintendent, Mr. T. Gray; directors.. Messrs, J. Caugbley and T. Gray; 'lion, secretary, Mr. F. T. B. Johnson; lion, treasurer, Mr. E. W. Porter; lion, auditor. Mr. C. Batten; delegate to "Wellington Centre, Mr. P. Meadowcroft-
