PEACE CELEBRATIONS
TO COMMENCE ON JULY 19
AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Us Telegraph-Press Association-Copyricht London, July 1. Mr. Bonar Law announced in the House of Commons that the peace celehrations in London would commence on July 19. Ho added that he hoped the rejoicings on that date would be universal throughout the Empire. The Army, tho Navy, tile, merchant marine, the air forces, and ■ troops of the United States would take part in the demonstrations. It had also been arranged that Thanksgiving services would be held throughout the United Kingdom nest Sunday. Their Majesties and the members of Parliament will attend St. Paul's.-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [The foregoing cablegram was referred to the Acting-Prime Minister. Sir James Allen stated that the only official news in the possession of the Government was that the peace celebratbns would be had on August i, 3, i, and 5, and this information was quite recent.
