ST. MARK'S HHUHCH SITE AP- ■ ".PROVED. Subject to the report of a geological expert being favourable, the Diocesan Synod last night approved of the site of St. 'Mark's Church for the proposed Anglican. Cathedral. The matter was discussed at some length in committee, when the following resolutions wcro passed :— II) That this Synod confirms the selection of the site of St. Mark's Church for the Cathedral, fibject to a favourable geological report from "an expert. (2) That this Svnod hereby directs the trustees of the Cathedral Trust Deed of October 27. 1890. to transfer the Tarnnaki Street lands and buildings and all moneys, securities, and other property hidil by them tinder such deed to the Wellington Diocesan Board of Trustees uuon the trusts and with the powers eot out in such deed. i

(3) That this Synod approves of the report of the committee, with regard to (he Taranoki Street site, and approves ot the trustees leasing the land on the most favourable terms.
