NEW DEMANDS BY MINERS. The New Zealand Coal-mine Owners met in conference in Wellington yesterday. Two very - important matters weto before the meeting—consideration of fresh demands from the Coal-miners' Federation and consideration of the report of .the Board of Trade on-the coal industry. The conference is to be continued today. The demands of the miners have not been disclosed by the mine-owners, but they are referred to in some detail in a Press Association message from Dmiedin, published in this issue. JU will appear from the message, the domands are the biggest that have b&on made for a long time, even by ilio miners.
