NAVY LEAGUE

Representatives of the Navy league visited the Lyall Bay School on Monday to present a New Zealand Ensign. Commander Russell, of H.M.S. Geranium. one of the minesweepers now in pert, accompaniod the visitors, and gave an inspiriting address to the children. The .chairman of the League's Education Committee, in presenting the flag, spoke of the pride the children should have in mir New Zealand' emblem when the brave deeds of our sailors and soldiers were remembered. Mr. Blake, the headmaster. in accepting the ling said that it would be greatly treasured, and that a large numbor of scholars hud become members of the lengue.
