■ The - Wnirarapa - Farmers'■.-: Co-operative Association, Ltd., Dannevirke, report on the clearing sale of dairy stock ■ implements, etc., held at tlio farm,-Otawhao Block, near Taltapau, on account of Mr. A. G. Orowe en Wednesday; as/follows:— A large number of buyers and others interested attended, iotwithstanding the tryin" circumstances under which ,th"e sale was held, 'snow falling .continuously throughout, to a depth of several.inches, arid a most successful" Bale'..resulted;: The herd of cows, which .contained- : a few pedigree and high-grade Holsteins,-. met with good competition, the highest prices paid being 27gns. lor ,a pedigree cow-. - and up to £27 103. for grades, several utkers ringing from £20 to £27. The whole herd of 60 head, including two threcrcinarter cows, averaging £16 14s. per -head, which must be considered highly satisfactory. A nice line oE eleven rising, two-year grade Hoistein springing l eifers made £14 15s. per head, these, together with somo of the highest-priced cows, being secured /by a Waikato buyer. Purebred Holstein' ; bulls sold at from 15 to 21gnB. • Horses also sold ■well; ""an ..aged..spring-carter fetching £35 and a trap mar©, £16 10a. Sowb in pig realised from £13 15s. to £13 10s., and one with a, fitter £9-10s.;-a lino, of 15 good store pigs inaile £2 13s. each.
