Frost, \V. ,f. Thompson, C. J. .B..Norwood, W. 11. Bennett,. A.'-J?. Atkinson, T. Forsyth, L. M'Keime, M. F: 'Luekie, J. 0. .Shorland, C. It. Chapman, J. Glover, P. Fraser, M.P., K. A. Wright, M.P.; ,1. M; Dale, and J. Hutchison. The following recommendations by the Power Stations and Tramways Committee'were'adopted;-- ' | '•■.' .'. Tlmt.a tramway siding be constriHod in Waitoa Road, Hatai'tai, in order to facilitate the handling.of the traffic, passengers, ami parcels oir the iiilbirnie route; that as the tram stop at. Trent Street, Island Hay, is little used, it be abolished; that the tramway be extended to.tho Ferry Wharf, provided the Railway Department will waive the condition stipulated by them when the proposal ■was previously before -the council, viz.: That the council pay the wages of a railway employee, .who will act as as signalman, using hand signals, at the crossing. The. Legislation,- Leaseholds, and Libraries Committee recommended, and it was appioved:—That Mr. .11. Buddie be appointed council's valuer in connection with certain pending valuations of •reclamation .leases; that the request of Messrs. Tolley and Sons for a lease of premises, Chew's Lane, for a period of 21 years, with right of renewal, bo not granted. A resolution was passed exempting .Devon Stro»t and Webb Stoeet,from the 1 provisions Of section 117 of the T.ublic Works Act.'
