The chairman said, that such buildings would' have to' comply, with the city building.' by-laws.
■Mi:. J, Hutchison said that'.'Mr. .Van Stnveren" had informed him that a relative of his was paying Bs.''per fopt (per •annum) more than was provided for in the original lease. This, ho maintained, was. wrong! as- it showed that -.profit was being made and traffic was going on in connection with (he board's properties. He maintained that this was wrong,, "for if there were any money to he made out of these lands it should be made by the hospital.
• The chairman moved that the clause be referred back. He pointed oui; that Mrs. Stevenson already had a lease, and. there was nothing to prevent'her.'subleasing, but she wished the properly to. be subdivided'.
•The motion was seconded'by Mr. Hutchison,'who suggested that, they should consult with "their lawyers to see if they could not' evolve a new system of leasing to prevent' the properties being used for traffic. ;1 '.
