THE TAXPAYERS' BURDEN 1 . Melbourne. Juao 26. In the House of Representatives, Sir. W. A. Watt, outlining the general linancinl position, stated ' that the war expenditure amounted to ,£261,521,1 M. With heavy expenditure in prospect, it would be necessary before long, to raise another war loan.
