By 'Tclesraph-Prese Association. Thames, June 25. Quite a rueli of Taw>aki and southern farmers has set in to the Hauraki Plains, aud lnnd agents and solicitors liavo been having a busy time. In the past fortnight nlone, twenty farms on flic plains chanced hands, the prices averaging nearly ,£7fl on acre. Tho total amount of the deals is in the vicinity of .£150,000. Tho figures are taken from the transfers. The dairy production of the nlpins last year was over ,£150,000. in addition to large numbers of fat cattle. Of 80,000 acres of land on the plains only a third is yet open, and a great deal of it is etill unimproved.
