'The seventeenth annual National Dairy • Show '. of the Manawatu and West ; Coast Agricultural and Pastoral Associar ! ■'. ftion was ' continued to-day., Light rain ! ehowers fell overnight, but the morningwas fairly fine. After 12 o'clock, howevor,' heavy rain set in, making, the con- ;.'' ditions most unpleasant.' Despite tho I bad weather, a fair crowd was in attendance, aud throughout the day the various halls were thronged with people, ' who j evinced an intense interest in all they ] \ Baw. Tho side-shows also did a moder- ' ' ate amount of business. , -.'. Events in the oval were confined to the sheep dog trials, including pulling, :.. yarding, and driving competitions. There '• was 1 a liberal entry for the various events, in which many of the dogs gave a very interesting display. ■■ ■.•■•. To-morrow will bo People's Day, when ■ the dog trials will bo resumed. JThere. will also be the usual ring competitions. • The show will close finally at 10 p.m. to-morrow.
