Lord Loverhulmo has outlined a new scheme for the welfaro of his employees. It is suggested that each man should have a private banking account with a bank of his own choice, and'that the firm's bankers should !>e advised to credit each member of tho stall' each week with the monev ho was entitled io receive as wages. Thus an employee would draw what he required'for household expenses from the bank, and it was proposed, if possible, to arrange with the bank for a rate of interest, supplem»ntcd by an addition from tho firm, winch would yield an interest of 5 per cent. If thoy conld get that system universally adopted the working man's dignitv would bo raised, and ho would become a saver
