A grey-backed storm petrel, a. pretty little bird not much -larger than a sparrow, dropped dead, apparently from exhaustion, in a field nt Tcmpleton last week (says tho "Lyltelton Times")- It was picked up by II r. Martin Duff, Verdi Mackenzie, Miss t'roctor, and little Helen M'Lellan contributed songs; Mr. T.en l'ower and Miss Betty Mentird recited. Mr. Leo Kiesenburg and Mr. J. H. Biitlorsby officiated abb- at the piano. Pipe-Major Symont provided the pipe music. Tho Miss Daisy M'Lellan save fine exhibitions of Highland dancing and the sailor's hornpipe. Messrs.
