THE MISSING YACHTSMAN
ASIAN 01 , LONELY HABIT,
Mr. J. Hill, the missing owner of tin yacht Ethel, who has not turned up in Wellington since he and liia yacht wero cast ashore in Palliser Bay some months ago, was a siiiglo man about 40 years of age, and wae a carpenter by trade. He was ishort in stature and wore a black moustache. He boarded in Clyde Quay, and has been known in tho boat harbour for between three and four years, and there' is still a good deal of his property lying there. He was a quiet man, and preferred his own company to that of others. This was ovidenced by the fact that on December 29. lie left here: for the Jfarlborough Sounds in (lie, Ethel (a 32ft. yacht) by himself. There is probably not another Yachtsman in Wellinston who would venture ou such a voyage alone. The only reaeonable theories to account for Mr.' Hill's not turning up in Wellington are that he may have become ill or taken up work in the country, but in that case it is thought that he would have reported himself to someone in Wellington;
