Tho Mayor of Palmerston has received a letter from Die Pnliialua Counly Council with reference to the delay in carrying out the repairs to the Upper Gorge Bridge. The County Council states that the work, which has been held up for (lirec mouths on account of the shortjiko of suitable timber, would be proceeded with immediately.
