AMENDED REGULATIONS. Amended regulations to. provide for tho extension by way of bonus of tho schema of financial assistance in certain caws to discharged members of the Expeditionary Force are published in a Gazette Extraordinary. Tho retrospective payment is limited to .£lO4 per annum for the pnw iod before January 20, 1918, and .£l5O for the following period. No such bonus shall be granted except in pursuanco or the recommendation of a military 6crvico board in accordance with the Financial Assistance Regulations, 1918, and tho jurisdiction of the boards is extended cover such cases. Every application for the bonus must 'lie made by tho applicant within three months after his return to Now Zealand from military service bevohd the seas, or in tho case of applicants who have already returned within three months after the dnto of tlfe regulations. The Finnncial Assistance Resulauonti, 1918, are amended by adding thereto the following clause: "On the discharge of any member of an Expeditionary Force for whom financial assistance lias been so provided, the like assistance may, "f the Minister of Defence thinks fit, bs whollv or partially continued ill favour of that member for a period not exc«i>ing six months after his discharge.
