LAND FOR SOLDIERS
MORE PURCHASES. Tho Minister of Lands (the Hon. D. H. Cnjlhrie) announced yesterday that ilia Department had completed the purchase of-two pieces of land near Palmerston, of a total area of about COO acres, to be settled b.y returned soldiers. Both areas are of very rich, highly-improved lapd, and thoy will cut up into quite small holdings.
