The hearing of the industrial dispute between the , Christcburoh Picture Theatre Companies and the Employees' UnioN occupied tho Conciliation Council during the whole of yesterday. At the evening session the assessors came to Jfn agreement'on the following clauses:— Picture shows keeping open not less than 2(> hours a week; ticket sellers, 23 hours, 285.; ticket takers (youths oi girls) !!l> hours, £1 10s.; ticket takers (men) 34 hours, .£2 55.; ushers, 3G 'hours, .£1 10s.; relieving ticket inkers or uehere, 17 hours, 20s. All time worked over and above the hours stated up to 44 hours, to bo paid for pro rata, and after that at.tho rato of time mid a half. Night shows, including all classes of entertainment: Ticket sellers, ticket lakers, \ishera, barrier men, end packers! 3s. 6d.' par performance. Hours of working: Ticket sellers, 23 hours per night, and two hours per matiiioß; ticket takers, ushers, barrier men, and packers C.43 p.m. till close of show, the same principle tipi)lying to matinees.

Cflsual workers, engaged for less than ono week, ss. por performance; if for more than one week and less than two weeks, is. per performance, overtime to be paid for at the rate of time and a half.

Caretakers, dS hour.? per week £3, and if required to take tickets or act us usher, etc., 12s. Gd. extra. If nt the direction of emnloyer a caretaker works on Sunday, the hours worked shall be contoured as double time when computing t,he 43 hours. Cleaners to bo paid Is. 3d. per hour.
