Red Cross Club atTrentliam Hospital. ;' At yesterday , ? meeting of tho Wellington Led Cross Committee a letter was rend from Miss Mouckton and Miss Ewan, managers of the Trcntho.ni Hospital Eed Crose Soldiers' Club, in which they'stated that since the opening tho club had been in constant uso by tho patients in tho hospital. Tho main'room was ready for them by nino o'clock in the morning, and the reading room a .little later. Both were open until nine in tlio evening. The billiard table from the Victoria Hospital was being put up aud was likely to bo much appreciated as ,i,hc present one was always occupied, nn'tl soldiers' had to wait .their turn. Pingpong was very popular, and tournaments were being arranged for the evenings. Badminton' was a' popular game on cojd days. A bagatelle board from Victoria ■Hospital- had .been handed over to (ho club by the matron, and was proving .very useful. When all the games wore going, as well as cards, quoits, and the piano, or tho gramophone, the club looked a very busy place. Flowers and mnganines to all tlio words wore sent weekly as well as jellies for special cases, and homo-mado cakes for all tho patients, with tho addition of buns and tarts given weekly by Mrs. Moorhouso and Mrs. Nathan. Books and magazines, particularly local weekly and daily newspaper.-! were very much appreciated. Tho cat had been out with tho men nearly every day (luring the past threo weeks, .and with tho taxi as well about 11 men at rtime could be taken for an outing. There were now over 200 patients in the hospital. The writers concluded by saying they were very anxious to know what arrangements wore -boing made by the Vooationnl Training Department for work for tho men in bed. Since their (the writers') arrival two months ago, nothing had been done for them except by the Red Cross. Between tlie visits of ihp committee efforts were made to keep tho work going, but with a small staff ft was impossible to do very much. Levin Msmorial Home. The monthly meeting of tho Levin Memorial Homo was held on Juno 10, Miss Archibald presiding.
