WARRANTS ISSUED.-, The retrospective allowances promised to the returned soldiers who hud gone to the war Ion? before tho more generous rate •of allowances were agreed to by the New Zealand Government are now being paid. By June C warrants had h&en issued for the payment under this head of =ei3C,4G7. To 2673 people warrants for under .£4O had been issued, the value of the. warrants being ,£o'islG, and to 1323 peoplo warrants for over J!4O had been issued, of a total value of i>83.951. The largest warrant was for «£156. and there were 69 warrants for over .6100.
