PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE

In our advertising columns an advertisement lias appeared calling for tenders for additions and alterations for the Public Trust .Office building at Hawera. The Public Trustee states that tho necessity for this extension of premises arises in part from the remarkable increase in business in this Department, and partly on account of the present policy of'decentralisation under which estates will be administered completely in the locality in which they belong. The effect, of this will be to greatly facilitate the prompt and. efficient transaction of business with clients of the 'office, and increased satisfaction at being able to attend to their business with the Department on the spot. In.'the near future a definite step 1 in the way of decentralisation will be effected by the placing of district accountants and, staffs at several of the. district offices of the Public-Trust Office throughout the Dominion.
