THE NEW CLASSIFICATION. Br ToleirraDh-Press Association. Auckland, June 8. Hearing that some' discontent was felt as the result of the new classification list, Mr. C. M'Nomara, superintendent of the staff for the Dominion, 'addressed a special gathering of the Auckland"- Past and Telegraph officers last night. The inon wore assured that if they had a grievance the Appeal Board was the correct place to have it put right, and that the Department was not (nit to confuse or intimidate appellants, hut ratter to glean information as to their capabilities. The cost of increases would bo about .£150,000.
The superintendent received an excel lent hairing.
